Deetra Tesla, co-founder of Aliso Solutions, brings nearly three decades of expertise in securities regulation, compliance architecture, and financial technology. Her journey began in 1995 at the dawn of direct access trading, where she quickly advanced from a trading desk position to supervising 31 branch offices. This early exposure to emerging trading technologies shaped her unique approach to compliance and operations.

 

Earlier in her career, Deetra established DNM Consulting, her first compliance consulting firm, which became nationally recognized for serving registered investment advisers and broker-dealers. In partnership with Darren Whissen, she co-founded Aliso Solutions, combining their complementary expertise to create a more comprehensive compliance consulting practice. For the past eight years, this partnership has enhanced their ability to provide innovative compliance solutions to regulated firms. Throughout her career, she has played pivotal roles in the evolution of electronic trading, helping architect multiple trading software platforms while serving as Chief Compliance Officer and Principal for broker-dealers across various specialties including online trading, investment banking, and retail operations.

Her comprehensive understanding of both technological innovation and regulatory requirements is backed by extensive securities licensing, including Series 7, 24, 55, and 63 certifications. This combination of technical knowledge and hands-on compliance experience enables her to deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions for today's regulated firms.
